We are passionate defenders of the natural world who are concerned that the world is literally on fire and that action currently being undertaken by governments and others is too slow.
With our members' help, Wild Gaia buys (or leases) land to rewild & restore in order to combat the biodiversity crisis and fight global heating. We will also manage land for like-minded clients.
To restore depleted landscapes and marginal land into thriving ecosystems again
To stimulate and guide innovative ecological ideas in this time of a rapidly changing planet
To bring forward projects to restore extirpated species
To educate, inform and encourage others to do the same
To make use of the Irish and UK legal systems to further these nature conservation policies
To provide a vehicle for employment outside of normal eNGO’s or the private sector for fresh ecological talent
To provide a vehicle for ideas outside the mainstream, we need independent thinkers now more than ever
This new land, held in perpetuity for and by our local communities, will be productive for both humans and wildlife. They will provide desperately needed services for our shared survival – restoring the soil, providing clean air and water, protecting life and property from floods and storms, and helping in the battle against global heating by storing carbon.
While Wild Gaia is a trading arm of a for-profit private company limited by guarantee. We undertake to spend 80% of all money raised from this website on the aims and objectives of Wild Gaia; with the remaining 20% for administration and running costs. All accounting income and expenditure will be fully transparent and will be visible to our members each quarter.
We restore biodiversity, one project, one townland, one barony, one county, one Provence, one island at a time. This is our planet and we will fight to restore her biodiversity and bioabundance.
Help us fight the good fight now!
